Aaron Lysaght Walsh

From Dublin to Chicago, by way of kitchens, ski sales and data.

I grew up in Dublin, studied Computer Science with Data Science at University College Dublin, and moved to Chicago in September 2026.

Not all of my experience happened at a keyboard. Alongside my degree I made sushi in a busy kitchen, sold ski holidays on commission, and spent four years representing brands like Google, Coca-Cola and Diageo at events. I've also played rugby for about 17 years, since I was a child, and I've lived, worked and traveled in several countries.

What motivates me

I'm most interested in the intersection of technology, business and people. I enjoy understanding how technology works, identifying where it can solve real problems, and communicating ideas in ways that make sense to different audiences.

Through my experience in analytics, customer-facing work and AI-assisted product development, I've discovered that I particularly enjoy roles where technical understanding and strong communication go hand in hand.

    Sold more than 50 ski holidays in a commission-based role, ranking among the top-performing ambassadors. Answered customers' questions and supported them through purchasing decisions.
